Hi, I’m Marissa!
I’ve taken the scenic route to get here. For years, I was building relationships and running client projects, learning a ton about people, strategy, and how businesses actually work. Underneath it all I felt this pull toward creating.
I’ve always been told I have a natural eye for design. I gravitate toward the playful, creative side of marketing. The one with the visuals that make people smile, pause, or feel something. Even in my corporate roles, I was the person reworking a slide layout or getting way too excited about a social graphic.
So, for years after my work day ended, I started designing: logos for small businesses, social posts for friends, little brand experiments just because they were fun. Slowly but surely, the creative work moved from the edges of my life to the center.
This portfolio is what came out of that shift. It's a mix of design, storytelling, and a little bit of a “let’s just see what happens" attitude that I feel always takes designs to the next level.
(Also, for now this is the most professional photo I have of myself. I'll get real headshots one day, but wedding photos are expensive and we have to get our moneys worth somehow, right!?)
